Terms of service

The service

AlliDesk provides customer-account, loyalty, wishlist, referral, returns, review and notification features for Shopify stores. You use it under these terms and Shopify’s own terms for apps.

Your responsibilities

You decide what to switch on, what your policies say and what messages go to your customers. You are responsible for the accuracy of those settings and for complying with the laws that apply to your store, including consent for marketing messages. Courier and messaging accounts you connect are yours and governed by those providers.

Data protection

For the personal data of your customers you are the controller and AlliDesk is your processor. We process that data only on your instructions — which is what your settings are — and only to provide the features you have switched on. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for our own purposes or advertising.

We keep it confidential, hold it under the safeguards described in the privacy policy, and use sub-processors only where a feature needs one: our hosting provider, the email provider, and the messaging and courier accounts you connect yourself. Those accounts are yours and receive only what a message or a pickup needs.

We honour Shopify’s customer data-request, customer-redact and shop-redact webhooks automatically, and we delete operational data on the schedule set out in the privacy policy. On uninstall, your store’s data is deleted within 48 hours. If we become aware of a breach affecting your customers’ data we will tell you without undue delay, and we will help you answer a request from one of your customers or a regulator.

Fees

Plans are priced by monthly order volume and billed through Shopify on your regular invoice. Upgrades apply at once; downgrades from the next cycle. The Free plan needs no payment.

Availability and liability

We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. AlliDesk is provided as is; to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the previous three months.

Ending

Uninstall the app from Shopify at any time; your data is removed as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend the service for misuse or non-payment with notice where practical.
